Dear sir/madam,
Just over half a billion Asians live in slums and the UN expects the number to double by 2030 because of rapid population growth and urbanisation, it is therefore up to everyone including the rugby community to help challenge and address this growing issue.
Homeless Rugby has been working with rugby clubs, coaches and charities across England, Scotland and Wales to #TackleHomelessness by enabling people affected by homelessness to play rugby and become part of the rugby community. Creating these positive sporting opportunities has allowed people to improve their physical & mental health, access opportunities around education & employment and making lasting friendships. All of which as contributed to lives progressing positively on and off the pitch.
With the growing homeless challenge across Asia we want to speak to federations, clubs and coaches across the continent to set up new homeless rugby teams. If this is something clubs and coaches can offer community we'd love to hear from you.
Kind regards,
Darran Martin
Director
